We've been flat-chat here at Spruce HQ recently and so, more than ever before, we have a whoooole lot of developments to report.
For those of you who have missed any of the latest goings-on, here's the (not quite monthly, not quite quarterly) update on what you need to know.
We're super stoked to now be stocking a new line of haircare products from the frankly wonderful Uppercut Deluxe. This is our first foray into gent's haircare and it's already proving hugely popular with you guys. If you haven't tried the Deluxe Pomade yet you're seriously missing out. Personally speaking, I'm a total convert and I think you will be too once you've given it a blast.
There's a new beard oil in town and it's making big waves. We've managed to get our (exclusive) hands on the new Classique Beard Oil by Dioverde and the feedback thus far is that you lot love it.
If you'd like to try something a bit new and exciting, then why not give it a shot? It's got a nice refined scent and an ultra-light formula that sets it apart from some of the other beard oils out there.
We recently launched our brand new members reward scheme known as Spruce Rewards. For every $1 spent in store you'll earn 10 Spruce Rewards Points. Spend $100 and you'll net yourself 1000 points which will get you $10 off your next purchase.
You can also earn a veritable avalanche of points by referring your friends and we'll even give you a nice little 200 point bump just for creating an account.
It's our little way of saying thanks and rewarding you guys for being such generally lovely people.
We've shaken things up a little with our ever-popular Beardcare Toolkits. As well as the classic Ultimate Beardcare Toolkit, we're now also able to offer a neat little Beardcare Essentials Toolkit. Consider this as the feisty little brother of the Ultimate kit.
It's got all of the most essential grooming gear for keeping your beard in good order, but at only $85 it's a bit easier on the pocket. Moreover, $5 from the sale of every Beardcare Essentials Toolkit goes directly to support the great work of our Charity Partners. More on that below.
In addition to our long-standing partnership with the fantastic White Ribbon Australia, we're now also supporting the wonderful WaterAid. WaterAid are a charity that seeks to transform lives by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene. They undertake some incredible projects and initiative in the Australia and Asia- Pacific region and they really do make a very practical, tangible, and lasting difference to people's lives.
We wholeheartedly believe in the work that WaterAid undertake and we hope you will too. $10 from the sale of every Ultimate Beardcare Toolkit, and $5 from the sale of every Beardcare Essentials Toolkit will go directly to support either WaterAid or White Ribbon in their ongoing charity endeavours.
You can find out more about both charities here.
Phew, it really has been a busy time, eh? This is only a fraction of the stuff that we've been up to recently. Some other highlights include;
• A really, really, very interesting interview with the lovely Effie Manton of Sweeney's Barbershop in Cremorne, Sydney. This one is a must read. Seriously.
• Launch of our eBay Store, for those of you who prefer to do your business that way. It's a bit rough around the edges, granted, but we're working on it!
• Birth of the absolutely beautiful Little Miss Spruce on the 22 April. Mum and bub both doing very well. Many tears of joy have been shed by the usually inscrutable Mr. Spruce.
• A ton of other stuff. Jeez, too much for me to remember and you're probably over reading it!
Till next time, stay classy. Wait, no, that's been used. Got to get myself a good sign-off....

There are a lot of different types of razors out there, how do you know which is right for you? What should you look for in a razor and what should you definitely look to avoid?
Ah, the age old questions vexing many a bearded gent; Should I use beard oil or beard balm? What's the difference between oil and balm? Do I need both?
Today we look at the differences, weigh the pros and cons, and help you to make the right choice for your beard. Read on to find out more!
There is a veritable cornucopia of beard-related potions, unguents, oils, and elixirs on the market these days all aimed at the, somewhat vague, notion of beard care. Luckily, we're here to sort the good advice from the bad!
